Our Mission

There’s a crisis in the United States today. Millions of vulnerable people face unprecedented legal challenges. Government programs are being dismantled, and civil rights, consumer, environmental, disability, and other basic protections are being rolled back or are under overt assault.

There is also a solution. Thousands of capable lawyers—and even more future lawyers—are ready to meet these needs. But too often, there is no clear pathway for them to do so.

We can provide that pathway, enabling people to build thriving, exciting, public interest legal practices as part of a decentralized but coordinated network, helping to bridge the access to justice gap and begin to restore the rights being further eroded by the day.

The Hub offers a path for attorneys to easily start their own public interest law practices, enabling them to:

  • Maintain and strengthen their commitment to public interest work

  • Help fill the massive gap between the need for legal services and the capacity of existing organizations to meet that need

  • Build a sustainable legal practice with long-term viability

  • Achieve professional independence with greater control over their time and the subject matter of their work while serving vulnerable communities

  • Join a supportive professional community of like-minded attorneys that can be both a joyful and inspiring home for the next stage of their careers, and a place for mentorship, training, and camaraderie.
